I am a communications 'generalist specialist' and systems practitioner committed to contributing to a just, regenerative and thriving world for all. Currently I work as the Communications Manager and a Producer at the School of System Change, and I consult other charities and nonprofits as a freelancer.
My experience has unfolded across nonprofit leadership, sustainability, systems change, climate and social justice, social enterprise and innovation, community building and collective impact, content marketing, academic research and teaching, events management, grassroots activism, and change management.
In late 2019 I co-founded and up to early 2023 co-led Sustainable Fashion Scotland (SFS), a nonprofit which connected the fashion community in Scotland and accelerated collective action for positive change. My master's dissertation investigated the role of the facilitator in a community systems change approach with a focus on fashion in Scotland; the resulting five recommended guiding principles influenced our strategy and actions at SFS. Along with two other community members, we were selected by the UK Cabinet Office to exhibit a creative installation on textile waste in the Blue Zone at COP26 in Glasgow in 2021: www.generationofwaste.com
I am proud to be a graduate of the School of System Change and to hold an MSc in Social Innovation and a BA (Hons) in Fashion Management.
Beyond professional titles, I am a queer Scottish woman (she/they), a deep thinker, and a curious creative. My enthusiasm expands into movement (partner acrobatics, ashtanga yoga, outdoor swimming), music (listening and DJing), and musing through poetry, tarot, and ongoing inquiry into identity, equity, and change.
Multiplicity shapes how I move through the world - I celebrate fluidity and the kaleidoscopic nature of being. I aim to navigate uncertainty with humility and wonder, and I believe in the power of people, relationships and stories to shift paradigms and systems.
